Now is the time when the Fandemonium Schedule starts to flesh out.  We’ve got a bit of a sneak peek for you, and we’ll keep you up to date as things are added.  Remember though, people are thinking of things they can contribute right up until the last minute, so check the schedules at the event to see the final additions and assigned venues. Here’s where it gets even more interesting! Costume Contest: Craftsmanship JudgingFriday04:00 PMHave you spent painstaking hours slaving over your latest cosplay? Have you wished that costume contests took into account all of you hard work? If so, this is the contest for you! Our judges will go over you costumes with a seamstress touch. Only hand made creations will be considered, any props or pieces not hand made will not be counted towards your score. If more that 25% percent of your costume and props are store bought, you will be disqualified. Also, costumes must be made by the contestant, with no more than minimal assistance from others. Taking credit for someone else's work is not cool! Contestants are encouraged to bring photo representation(s) of your character (if any) as well as any photos of the creation process. Contestants should be sure to discuss in detail the creation process of the costume with the judges. Costumes must be rated PG -13 or lower, as this is an all ages event. There is a maximum limit of 20 people for this contest, first come first serve. Winners will be announced at Closing Ceremonies.

Animals of any type are welcome. Costumes may be purchased, but must be altered in some way to make them more original. Judging will be based on design and/or alteration, how well the costume fits the plushie, and Best of Show audience voting. Plushies need to be present by noon on Sunday (no fashionably late contestants, please!). They will be on display at the Hall Events Stage until winners are announced, which will take place at 2:30pm. Convention attendees are welcome to enter their votes until 2:00pm. Security will be provided to make sure none of the contestants 'scamper off' to be with their adoring fans.The owner of the contest winner will receive a gift certificate to Build-a-Bear workshop. Boffer: Grand MeleeSunday9:00 PMFandemonium's Boffer: Grand Melee (All-.vs-ALL) is the prefect end to a great convention. With our safe foam padded "Boffer" swords, you can do battle with your fellow friends and complete strangers, without the dangers involved with an actual sword fight. Their is a 30min mandatory safety meeting at the beginning of this event that must be attended if you wish to participate in the Melee, so show up at 8:30PM sharp. ATTENTION: While this event is open to everyone 13 years of age or older, due to the physical contact nature of this event all participants must sign a waiver of liability before they will be allowed to participate. You must be at least 18 years of age to sign the waiver and are legally required to present a valid form of non-expired photo identification; State issued Photo ID, State issued Drivers License, Military ID or Passport, to confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under the age of 18 and at least 13 years of age and wish to participate then you must have your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) present at the time of the event to sign a youth waiver with you.
